The cost of living as we grow our families increases. The average household income is £26,000. According to TUC's (Trade Union Congress) latest figures show that Briton's are on average working 48 hours a week. So the cost goes up and along with that a strong correlation of working hours follows. We look to cut our costs and unfortunately the quality of our life takes the cut too. Does it need to be this way?
A few quick numbers for you.
To maintain good health we recommended
● sleep about 8 hours per day for great recovery.
● play for 1 hour minimum, enjoy time with your family each day.
● further your knowledge minimum of 2 hours a day.
● meditate & clear your mind at least 2 hours a day.
● stretch & free your body a minimum of 1 hour a day.
● prepare and cook healthy meals usually taking 45 minutes to an hour per day.
● work for your living....that's up to you. We recommend you find your passion and grow free of modern day slavery.
So that leaves you with 9 hours a day work wise. A few hidden numbers we need to mention commuting to work, looking after the kids, dropping kids off to school and picking them up. Have I missed anything? Weekly household jobs- shopping, cleaning, helping kids out with homework and so on....
Such a busy day! Where can we take short cuts. Maybe live healthy when we win the lotto. Or until we get that handy promotion? Hmm short cuts is more realistic. Why is meal time so tricky? Is it because after a stressful day of rushing around I just want to sit down put my feet up like everybody else? I just don't find anything exciting about preparing a meal. Our culture invites the easier option. The ready meal!
What is a ready meal?
A ready meal is food of whatever quality prepared and cooked for you to take home and cook again. They take a few minutes. Easy peasy lemon squeezey as they say. Healthy on the other hand? NO
We eat for pleasure but more importantly for survival or as we like to say "thrival". Nutritional value is an absolute essential. Would you put urine in your petrol tank? Maybe if you were extremely desperate for a few miles whilst driving on empty. In fact that's another thing to add to your time spent list. Maybe along side ready meals you can save time on commuting and paying for petrol too. Ready meals and urine the way forwards. But on a serious note and back on point your body is an incredible living gift. Make your food a priority because without it nothing works. The better quality of your food intake the better the quality of your life.
What's great quality?
Nature knows best, we like to say. If you grow your own veg and fruit happy days because you are in the driving seat. Avoid pesticides, chemical fertilizers or any other artifical chemicals then you will be growing your own organic food! Careful!!! the word organic these days is thrown around quite loosely by clever sneeky marketers selling their company's poor produce to those of us who care about healthy eating. So veg, fruit sorted, what about meat? Unless your willing to hunt for your own meat you'll have to trust your local butcher. If a cow has lived well, another words been given the natural rights of sunlight, grass and avoided a farmers attempt to do anything that's un-natural to the cows existance in order to make more profit then it's happy moo days!
We find organic food on the expensive side but on the plus side there's hidden values. If you're going to eat healthy do it properly. Nutritional value in organic food is, incredibly, a heck of a lot higher than your mass produced, mass profit crap on your smart price shelves. You will feel the immediate difference after just one week. No need to take supplements for deficiencies when you eat natural HIGH quality food. 10,000 years ago we were at our physical evolutionary peak. Your caveman didn't need to take vitamin and mineral tablets. Scientific evidence proved your earlier human was a lot stronger and healthier than we are today!
You will lose fat quick, feel more energetic and motivated eating organic food over urine quality ready meals. I dare you to try for 21 days! It will not be a cheaper road but we do suggest you write out all your outgoings and pick on the things that do not add to the value of your life. Alcohol, new designer clothes, regular take aways etc are not essential and could take the cut before your healthy living food. If you've got your health, you're a wealthy person. Enjoy!
